Vic Heritage App Acknowledged in Design Awards

Outware Mobile are pleased to have our app Vic Heritage receive a Highly Commended mention in the Interactive Category of the Qantm Create Design Awards 2012

Vic Heritage, developed for the Department of Planning and Community Development (DPCD) and Heritage Victoria, is feature rich and allows you to search, learn about and share significant places from the 1840s to present day. You can learn about over 2,200 places from the Victorian heritage Register and discover images, history details and much more. Search near you, listen to audio tours or connect your favourite spots into a tour – this app allows and invites public access to the Victorian Register.

The Qantm Create Design Awards, presented by desktop magazine, are in its 8th year and celebrate Australia’s world class creative industry, and award talent over a range of categories. Winners were announced on October 5th at a Gala Awards night held at the Forum Theatre in Melbourne.
