Less than 24 hours to go until the next Outware Hackathon all about Mobile Health!

We have 16 teams competing to address one of the following three challenges:

  • VicHealth – To build young people’s resilience using digital technologies.
  • HISA & Dragon Claw – To provide people with rheumatoid disease the ability to monitor and manage their own care arrangements and to quickly share relevant information with clinicians.
  • nib Foundation & DSR – To improve access to suitable sport and recreation programs and facilities for people with a disability.

Outware Mobile’s vision is to make a difference through creating mobile experiences that are intuitive, effective and engaging. The mobile experiences we create help people do the things they need to do, when they need to do them. They remove barriers, save time and give people access to relevant information when and where it’s needed.

From wearables, to interoperability, access and immediacy, rapid developments in mobile technologies have shone a spotlight on the many opportunities to make a difference in health. A hackathon is the perfect opportunity to get together, test new ways of doing things, new technologies and solve real problems by making working software.

We are also committed to building great partnerships with organisations that share our values, and we nurture our team’s technical and creative skills. The Outware Hackathon for Mobile Health is one of the ways we give ourselves time to research, innovate and develop new approaches that lead our industry and help our partners address new opportunities and solve problems.

We’re really excited and can’t wait to see all the great innovations our team will come up with.
